Mental Health Check-In

As the pandemic continues, it has become more necessary than ever to prioritize our mental health. The best first step we can take is to be honest with ourselves about how we are feeling and conduct regular self-assessments. When we get into the habit of checking in with ourselves, it will also become more natural to remember to check in with others.

As a reminder, having “good mental health” does not mean feeling happy or positive all the time. Human beings experience a wide range of emotions and require certain needs to be met in order to maintain resilience and help regulate those emotions.

Several tools exist online to help us check-in with ourselves and assess our own mental health. Please see the links below and try some out. It is important to check-in with yourself regularly and to keep track of your moods. When you notice changes in your answers over time, it could help identify the need for intervention.

Please note that self-assessments such as these are not for diagnostic or treatments purposes. They are simply to point you in the right direction. They can help you understand your current emotions and alert you to seek assistance, if necessary.
